Support
Last changed 18 October 2026
Everything Cesura keeps is on your Mac, in the places below. Nothing needs a support account.
Where Cesura keeps things
~/Library/Application Support/Cesura: the record of your tasks and answers (journal.jsonl), the folders new tasks run in (workspaces), attachments from the last day (attachments), what routing learned from your overrides (learned.json), and the helper’s socket.- The helper,
batond, inside the app. It is registered as a background item, listed in System Settings › General › Login Items & Extensions as Cesura. - Keychain: optional API keys under the name
com.cohen.cesura.apikey, and your license if you activated one. - Preferences:
com.cohen.cesura, such as whether you finished the first screen and when the trial started.
Cesura never writes your agents’ own settings, such as ~/.claude/settings.json or ~/.codex/config.toml, so there is nothing of theirs to restore.
Reset
- Quit Cesura from its menu.
- Move
~/Library/Application Support/Cesurato the Trash. Your past tasks, learned routing and attachments go with it. - To see the first screen again, run
defaults delete com.cohen.cesura onboardedin Terminal. - Open Cesura. It starts clean and finds your agents again.
Uninstall
- In System Settings › General › Login Items & Extensions, turn Cesura off. This stops the helper and any agent it is running.
- Quit Cesura, then move it from Applications to the Trash.
- Move
~/Library/Application Support/Cesurato the Trash. - Optional: run
defaults delete com.cohen.cesura, and in Keychain Access delete items namedcom.cohen.cesura.apikey.
Logs
Cesura writes a short log to the macOS unified log: event names, ids, models and outcomes. It never contains your prompts, what agents wrote, task titles or file paths, so it is safe to share. To read the last hour:
log show --predicate 'subsystem == "com.cohen.cesura"' --last 1h
Something stuck
- An agent does not start. Settings › Agents shows each agent CLI, whether it is signed in, and notes on your configuration that Cesura works around.
- A task stopped halfway. Press O on its card in the Inbox to open its folder, and R to tell the same agent to continue.
- A plan limit. Cesura stops and asks; it never moves a task to paid usage on its own. The menu shows how much of each plan is left.
